Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with O.C.G.A. 21-2-540, a Special Election shall be held in Ware County to fill the vacancy in the office of Ware County Sheriff. The special election will be held on March 16, 2021.
Qualifying for the special election shall be held at the office of the Board of Elections and Registration, 408 Tebeau St, Waycross, Georgia, beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, and ending at noon on Friday, February 5, 2021. The qualifying fee shall be $2,318.83.
All persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to register to vote in the special election may register to vote through the close of the business day on February 16, 2021. Polls will be open from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm on election day.
